Hi,

Currently there are layers available to show certain POI’s on the map. How about enable one or two new layers where each user can assign a POI-file to. Having that everyone could get own POI’s flexible shown on the map as needed.

I got the idea of assigning a file as overlay for the route but above would be much more flexible, wouldn’t? But I don’t know the impact and possibility in terms of the realization.

Best regards
Ingo

Do you mean to import POI e.g. like GPX waypoints?
That is already possible, see also the [documentation](https://docs.kurviger.de/app/import_passknacker_pois).

More such options could be available when offline search arrives:

> Use POI databases to allow users search information about POI offline: Search POI offline in databases Tap POI to display its OSM data POI databases are currently available from [Mapsforge](http://download.mapsforge.org/pois/) and [OpenAndroMaps](https://www.openandromaps.org/en). They are all based on offline [POI API](https://github.com/mapsforge/mapsforge/blob/master/docs/POI.md) which I maintain in Mapsforge repository.

Thanks for that quick response. Yes, that’s what I tried to get but differently than using the overlay. Seems that I’ve to vote and wait for mentioned feature…

Having some more POI’s visible I could completely move from traditional NAVI to this App and that’s what I’m looking for.

Best regards
Ingo
