# App: Animated location

Today I did a (very short) test of _animated location_.  
Map movement was _perfect_ smooth but map orientation was lagging a few seconds behind reality.

When I have time I will try to do more testing.  
Especially the difference between _Android_ and _Google_ location service.

- Location service _Google_
- [Location: orientation threshold](https://forum.kurviger.com/t/app-location-orientation-threshold/7593) was set to _10km/h_
- Kalman filter was _off_
- Map set to _performance_
- Samsung [SM-G930F](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S7)  
1080x1920 (480 dpi)  
Android 8.0 (API 26)
