We are happy to announce that we released version 3.0.4 of the Kurviger Beta App.
To give you a quick peek, what the new UI looks like:
This update comes with several improvements:
- Navigation (App): New navigation UI optimised for motorcycle navigation.
- Display space is now optimised on showing more of the route, especially for landscape navigation.
- ETA, duration, distance to the next via point and destination are shown.
- Zoom-Buttons to quickly zoom in and out.
- New location marker that shows the current location more clearly.
- Additional information like speed or altitude are shown.
- Navigation (App): Action button to skip the next waypoint (shaping or via).
- Navigation (App): A navigation can be started everywhere on the route, so you can continue a navigation after a stop.
- Navigation (App): It’s possible to switch between different curvy routes during the navigation by tapping on it.
- Navigation (App): Name for via and shaping points are spoken during the navigation.
- Planning (App): New action button on the map to make it easy to reach important actions fast.
- Planning (App): Switching map layers has been completely reworked.
- Planning (App): Fixed an issue that could lead to issues when switching the language.
- Planning (App): Improve usage on tablets.
- Planning (App): Fix Drag&Drop in the waypoint list.
- Planning: Instruction list can be filtered to only show waypoints or via points.
In order to keep this thread clean, I would like to ask you to provide feedback in the discussion thread for the release. You can find more about the current BETA state in our documentation. It might take a few hours until the new update shows up in Google Play.
We have tested the new UI on a lot of different devices. There is a huge amount of different devices out there. If there are issues with the new UI on your device, please let us know and provide more information about your device (see the debug info in the settings).
In the future we will offer more options to customise the UI.

- Navigation (App): Es ist möglich, während der Navigation zwischen verschiedenen kurvenreichen Routen zu wechseln, indem du sie antippst.
- Navigation (App): Die Namen der Zwischenstopps und Shaping-Points werden während der Navigation gesprochen.
- Planning (App): Ein neuer Aktionsbutton auf der Karte macht es einfach, wichtige Aktionen schnell zu erreichen.
- Planning (App): Das Wechseln der Kartenebenen wurde komplett überarbeitet.
- Planning (App): Ein Fehler wurde behoben, der zu Problemen beim Umschalten der Sprache führen konnte.
- Planning (App): Verbesserte Nutzung auf Tablets.
- Planning (App): Drag&Drop in der Wegpunktliste funktioniert nun wie erwartet.
- Planning: Die Abbiegehinweise können gefiltert werden, um nur Wegpunkte oder Zwischenziele anzuzeigen.
Um diesen Thread aufgeräumt zu halten, würden wir euch bitten,Feedback im Diskussions-Thread für diese Version zu geben. Informationen zum aktuellen Beta-Status findet ihr in unserer Dokumentation. Es kann ein paar Stunden dauern bis das Update in Google Play angezeigt wird.
Wir haben die neue UI auf vielen verschiedenen Geräte ausgiebig getestet. Es gibt allerdings tausende verschiedene Android-Geräte. Sollte etwas mit der neuen UI auf deinem Gerät nicht wie erwartet funktionieren, dann gib uns doch bitte genauere Informationen über dein Gerät (siehe auch die Debug-Informationen in den Einstellungen)
In der Zukunft wird es dann noch Optionen geben um die Darstellung der UI weiter anzupassen.
