Between `Frequently Asked Questions` and `Kurviger App` we could insert another chapter `Basic concepts`: First version 2018-10-12a * * * **Basic concepts** **A Platforms** Kurviger is designed to work on different platforms: It includes to a **Website** version (for traditional computers) and an **App** version (for Android Smartphones), which both offer different services. **B Prices** The Website version is completely **free** , whereas for the App version there is a **Free** version with restricted services and a **Pro** Version with the full range of features. **C Modes** Kurviver generally works in different modes. These are: **Routing** : to design a route on a geographical map) - works in Website version and in Free App version, **Following location** : to see your position on a map continuously and in real time while moving - works in Free App version, **Navigation** : to be guided along a previously created route continuously and in real time while moving - works in Pro App version… **D Necessity of internet connection** The Website version needs to be online (connection to internet) while designing a route. Added some more details “for real beginners” 😉 (Modifications marked by _italics_, but only here to highlight them) * * * [in the Routing paragraph:] **Routing** : to design a route on a geographical map - works in Website version and in App version (Free and Pro). _Kurviger calculates a route according to several defaults, which you can preselect. The designed route is shown then as a blue line on the map (you may change colour and thickness at every time)._ **Following location** : to see your position on a map continuously and in real time while moving - works in App version (Free and Pro). _Kurviger moves the map in a way, that your position and moving direction is shown all the time in the lower center of the map as a blue arrow (you may change colour and size at every time)._ **Navigation** : to be guided along a previously created route continuously and in real time while moving - works in App version (Pro only). _Kurviger shows you how to follow the designed route by detailed turn instruction symbols and, optional, a voice guidance, as you may know this from traditional stand alone navigation systems; added by some more important informations on the display like distance to destination (or next waypoint), time to destination (or next waypoint), current speed (optional), current altitude above sea level (optional)._ * * * Ok? ---
