When a gpx is imported, the route must be calculated. Kurviger requires a connection to the internet to do the route calculation. In case your phone was offline, then it is as the message shows, and not an error.
From your status line in the header network looks fine? Can you give more details, did it happen once, reproducible? Seems like it happened on saving the route ..
To be honest, how the messages are presented is not nice at all and should be improved, imho.

Thanks for reaching out! What exactly have you been doing when this error occurred? Does the problem persist?
You could try to delete your local data: Settings → scroll down → delete local data.
