Feature Request: "Water Proximity" / "Prefer Coastal Roads" Routing Option

I would like to suggest a new routing preference: “Water Proximity.” Currently, Kurviger is world-class at finding curves and elevation, but sometimes the most beautiful motorcycle roads are the ones following a coastline or a lake, even if they aren’t the most “twisty” in the database.

Proposed Function:

Add a toggle or a slider (similar to the Curviness settings) called “Prefer Scenic Water Routes.”

- When generating a Round Trip, the algorithm should prioritize roads that run parallel to large bodies of water (oceans, lakes, or large rivers).

- This would be a game-changer for riders in coastal areas or lake districts (like the Swedish archipelagos or the Great Lakes).

Why this is needed:

Sometimes “Extra Curvy” takes you inland into a forest, missing a beautiful coastal road just a few kilometers away. Having the option to stay near the water would add a “Scenic” dimension to Kurviger that complements the current technical routing.

In Sweden only ist will works.

But in the south, i need to prevent streets near water. Most of Regions very crowdy, urban areas, traffic lights, convertible cars and recreation vehicles. All try to block smooth Traffic. :wink:

thank you for the input! It’s an interesting suggestion but I wouldn’t see that as a “Curvature” setting, as the curvature is meant to define how “straight/fast” or “twisty” you want your route to go. Also, I see the same problem as @Hampic if we would give it a general setting. However, we already had some feature requests regarding finding and integrating scenic routes in general. I can imagine that your suggestion fits in there too!
