IOS app keeps talking in German despite of the settings

The language sticks to German despite of the setting.

App. ver. 3.6.1
iPhone 15 / iOS 26.2.1

Actions executed:

  • Language set to English in App Setting. It was reverted to German there upon the start of app.
  • I removed German from preferred languages in iOS Settings.
  • I can’t chage the laguage in app settings in app, this is what I get after tapping the three dots in upper right corner. No Language line…

I just tried and I can’t reproduce the behaviour you describe. Just to clarify, you clicked on the Kurviger Icon (top, left), go to settings, language, select English and close that popup?

  1. however trivial it might seem - could it be that the documentation page is missing this explanation?
  2. Maybe it would be helpful to add some colorful flags directly in the settings menu - indicating where the languages are? Not everyone knows that “Sprache” is where you change the language, especially if you do not speak one.

Could you try to swipe the app out of the memory and restart?

IOS build 3.6.1 9932

I cannot reproduce whole app in wrong language, but I found another issue.

  • swipe out of memory, fresh start
  • not logged in (I think it does not matter)
  • change language from german to french (should be the same for others)
  • change back to german - all labels german again
  • start follow mode
  • call menu
  • Labels are still french in navigation
  • issue is gone after swiping out of memory again and new start

Could reproduce 2 times. Not reproducible for me on Android.
