Kurviger+ App gets stuck and closes down

Sorry if this has been treated before, but I am new here and my search was not successful.

It happend already three or four times that the Kurviger+ App stopped while loading a route with a lot of waypoints and immediately closed down without showing anything. I cleared the cache, but no effect. But when I delete the apps memory content or reinstall the app, all my downloaded maps are gone, which is really annoying. Has anyone a hint what I should do? Thank you.

How big are these routes? This should usually only be an issue if the routes are 5000km+, typically even larger.

What device are you using etc.? Could you share your Kurviger Debug info (you can copy that from the Kurviger settings - scroll to the bottom and tap the info).

I assume you’re on Android (clear cache). I’ll happily test on my phone, then we can get an idea if it’s the routes or the app.

Can you share a .gpx?

Also, can you reproduce this error on other phones?
Just for the record: I’m not with Kurviger. Just trying to help

Reboot your phone could also helps

OK, thanks. This is the route:

https://kurv.gr/YRTXv

I tried to open it with a Google Pixel 7 pro, Android-Version 16, and the latest Kurviger Tourer+

I’m sorry I can’t send any debug- information, because I reinstalled the app already.

I opened the file which blocked my mobile on my PC with Kurviger and there was no trouble. Unfortunately I’m not allowed to upload files yet because I’m new here.

Clearing the cache did not help, that’s what I tried first.

I should mention that the Kurviger App is running after the re-installation. I just want to avoid that it happens again.

I know you solved the issue, but would add some feedback on your shared route.

It was a little sluggish on my Samsung A36 (6GB), but I could simulate navigation for 5+ minutes without any crashes.

To avoid this happening again, I would suggest splitting your 3 day trip into a route per day, so 3 different routes. That way you avoid 140 waypoints and almost 4000 km sitting in memory for 3 days.

That is surely a useful hint. With my own routes I never have problems, but I got a link from friends and couldn’t see what’s coming up.

Thank you, I tried that as well but it didn’t help.
