I think it would be great if you could make the hillshading optional. While I find it helpful sometimes, in more than 95% of cases it bothers me because it makes the map harder to read.
So I propose a switch “Hillshading” in the settings.
Wenn man es Ein- und Ausschalten kann wäre es für mich ok, da ich die Schummerung haben möchte und mich auch nicht stört. Ich hätte in dem Zusammenhang eine noch viel deutlicher Darstellung von Höhen.

@boldtrn Something strange is happening here. After opening Kurviger in Firefox for the first time, the hill shading was more pronounced and copyright information was different to Chrome, although the same “OpenStreetMap” was selected (left: Firefox, right: Chrome):
After switching to another map style and then back to “OpenStreetMaps”, Firefox and Chrome have the same appearance:

The left style is our “Kurviger Standard” and the right style is OpenStreetmap.
I think there might have been some issue with updating the map style in your case, switching the map style should have fixed this.
I am talking about app (please see chapter: “Discussion App”).
But you are right - it might be useful also for browser version
