My friend and I are both using Tourer !. He on IOS, and myself on Android Samsung. When I try to open his link, this is what I get. We are both using tourer +. This happens on the app and the web page.
I think you just shared the link (yellow). But this functionality requires also an invitation, so your route (or folder) is shared - green arrow. As nobody is invited, you can call the link, but the route/folder cannot be accessed.
Enter the email-address, which must be the email of a registered user. Your friend should receive an email with the link. To be honest, the use case of the blue button (yellow arrow) - no idea. Need myself explanation for this; perhaps required when you share with public (everybody).
You may also click on planning mode when you have the route open which you want to share → 3-dot-menu → share → copy link. You can send this via mail, messenger etc. to your friend or somebody else. This link will open exactly the origin route at the receiver.
Hello @Tim_Rhind,
Also have a look here.
I also assume your friend shared the link but did not realize that he also had to change access to “open” for you to view it? If that was the case: we already plan to improve this so it’s easier to understand.
I think this is what he must of done, as it is now working. Appreciate everyone’s answers. Strange that you can send a link, but it requires the access to be changed as well. I will look at it closer to see why this is.
I had the same experience with a friend and I reported as well. It is not obvious for people who are using it the first time.
