With this setting enabled, I can see cases where the Kurviger website becomes slow sometimes. It’s a bit weird, it is not really reproducible, so not always enabling this mode leads to issue, but it seems that in some situations, the strict mode or the custom mode with strict settings can lead to this behaviour.
Right now my recommendation would be to:
Disable this setting or reduce the strictness (or maybe it’s possible to add an exception for Kurviger). As you can see in the screenshot, Firefox is noting that this setting can lead to unexpected behaviour.
In my tests, using incognito mode / private browsing does not show this issue. So if you are concerned about your privacy and cookies, you could try this.
Use a Chromium based browser for Kurviger.
I am not 100% sure why Firefox behaves like this, I have a few ideas, but I haven’t found the culprit. That it’s not super reproducible does not help either.

I’m a long time user with kurviger pro app. Now I decided to switch to the kurviger tourer version, but I found the website not really usable. Even I have a 1 Gigabit/s internet connection I can’t really create routes as the website is totaly slow. Sometimes it need several minutes to reload when you have changed a shaping point or just to move the map a little bit! Why isn’t it possible to load the map for e.g. hole country?

I never posted as during the past year my experience with Kurviger was completely smooth. Now I’m digging up this old post as I’m facing the same issue, also on Firefox (Version 138.0.4 (64 bits)). My privacy settings are on ‘standard’ and it first happened yesterday (I’m using kurviger for the past months and never encountered such slowness).
First example, I was more or less above the city of Charleroi in Belgium and zoomed out.
For +/- 10sec the screen stayed completely grey (I deleted the picture as I cannot poste more than one media).
And then, after several minutes, only 2 chunks of boxes hasn’t loaded (stayed grey) (also deleted the picture as I’m a new member here).
I’ve checked my internet connection thinking maybe it’s the issue, but I have my usual +/- 80mbps.
So I did the test with Edge on the same computer : same issue
Also I’ve checked Google Maps but it’s loading fast without any issue.
So I went upstairs to bootup my old computer and check if my limited wifi there (+/- 15mbps max) it would work and… It’s not ! Firefox version there is the 137.0.2 (64 bits) so not the most recent one. Same issue on Chrome as well - and even there with my limited wifi, Google Maps is running smoothly.
Last thign I’ve check is my phone which has the Kurviger 3.5.8 - 5205 version and there the loading is much faster ! Not as great as previously on my browser but still much better (at least how I remember it).
Ich habe mit FF das Problem zwar nicht, aber wenn ich es hätte, würde ich mein Laptop mit dem Mobilfunk vom Smartphone verbinden (Tethering) und nochmals probieren. Dann könnte man Netzwerkprobleme ausschließen.
