As far as I know and as confirmed by AI, the closure runs in the exact opposite direction of how it’s described (my route goes from West to East, according to the description the opposite direction (East-West) is closed, but that’s not the case. Are these things imported from OSM or does Kurviger have any influence on the description? It would make more sense, e.g., “Closure from Oberkirchen towards Winterberg”

As far as I know, Kurviger currently cannot correctly interpret directional road closures. Technically 100% correct, but not in a way that makes sense to a human.

Kurviger only looks at the closed section, not at the neighboring towns. So, just the info you can see in the screenshot.

Based on the OSM data, Kurviger interprets “closed” and the time period according to the OSM data. “Backwards” becomes “opposite direction”.

However, if you know that “opposite direction” refers to the direction of the road as drawn by the OSM mapper, then the info is useless. The mapper could just as easily have drawn it the other way around. The drawn direction isn’t visible in Kurviger.

A case like this was recently discussed, unfortunately I can’t find it anymore. Clarity was achieved back then through a change in the OSM data (note field?). If anyone finds it, please link it — thanks. 💗

There should be another post about this, though… I just can’t remember the mountain pass where it’s restricted on an hourly basis.

It may be that the Staller Sattel has this restriction, but this wasn’t actually discussed in the forum.

I found the post - it’s the Kesselberg

Exactly what it was! Ask Kira if she can do something nice for you. 😄

I expanded @Spoony’s Overpass [https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/2x5h](https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/2x5h) to see the _description_ on the map.

I entered it that way. Wait a day, then you can check again. [Link to test tour.](https://kurv.gr/Tb3Bp)

Outsmarted by the AI. That also explains the little hiccups when an AI is told never, ever to hack other systems. Again. Tricky, because now I’d have to write the opposite.
