When using the Dutch translation I see a few things that can be better. For “Vouwer” could be “Folder” or “Map” and a few more enhancements are possible.
I have changed in the past in an Excel sheet but that seems no longer available. Can I get access to it, to make these changes?

Hi Robin,

Besides Vouwer → Folder

in found two other ones

  1. Dossier → Bestand
  2. and when the next turn is several km away I hear a text “Vervolg de weg gedurende 2 kilometer” but the 2 is not dynamic it is always the same.
    I have tried to find his in the Graphhopper Excel but could not find it.

When you can make these changes I think the Dutch translation is 100% correct.
Then I don’t need the Excel file.

Hi. So I can see it has been requested some years back.
I just started using Kurviger a few weeks ago and so far I love it. The only downside is that the voice-options in the app are limited so I need to choose English. English is close to my native tongue but the pronouncation of danish streetnames in english are honestly awful at best :smile:

So my question is. Any plans to integrate danish language in the list of options for voice-guidance?

I want to change to Swedish language at navigation. I can’t do it, help.
I have Google TTS installed and Swedish.
samsung galaxy s20.

Do you mean that I should put Swedish words in a Excel and send to you.
The navigate voice don’t use TTS?
I have another navigator, OsmAnd + No propblem to gets Swedish and it use the TTS, Swedish.

I have following understanding - Kurviger App currently supports following languages:

Therefore, there is no direct suport for Swedish. Yes, the App does use the TTS for navigation, but no “Text” in Swedish is currently supported, therefore there can be no “speech”. The post linked above explains a possible workaround using external app to extend speech to other languages.

OK then I understand. But anyway google can easily translate ex. German, or English text to Swedish so your programmers can fix it easily :slight_smile:

Yes, but this always needs manual correction, so it’s not just auto translation.

If you are interested I can translate the words you need. Send me an Excel or Google file with the words in english.

One more question. Any plans to add to the supported languages in the GUI?

I am member of a club in DK where most of the members are fond of Kurviger but due to age/education they are not familiar with English.

If by any means it would be of any help to you guys, I would happily translate all words/sentences from GUI to Danish. This would help out my friends in DK a lot if Danish was supported

A moderator should move it to the other planned feature.

Hmm, has only a few votes (at the top). Difficult. The ones who have their language do not vote. The others, who do not understand the supported languages, cannot vote.

yep, you are right, hence why I am speaking on behalf of my friends and am happy to translate to Danish for free :slight_smile:
