Adding & customizing overlays

Hi Kurviger Team,

I really like the map overlay feature, thanks for adding it. Very practical feature to compare various routes.
Questions:

• Can you allow more than 5 overlays? The # is not limited in Bascamp

• What about allowing the user to change the overlay color?

• When will this feature be finalized (still in Beta mode)?

With the Kurviger Tourer subscription you get more overlays. Right now, with a subscription, you get 15 overlays. Even more is currently not planned.

No problem, just click on the color left of the name:

It works pretty well already, we are currently fixing a few minor bugs (see other forum threads that are popping up). If there are no more bug reports, we can remove the BETA

I’m tourer and realize that indeed I can go up to 15 overlays and that’s perfect
Not sure why I thought it was 5

Perfect for the color as well. Just 2 suggestions here:

• wouldn’t it be easier to have the choice between the basic colors like per example in Excel
  
  
  
  But this is a very very minor detail
• the overlays are not very visible on the map. What about having an option to increase overlay thickness?

Forget adding another suggestion:
When choosing overlays to display, could you please allow multiple selection?
For me at least, I can only choose one at a time and can’t tick multiple boxes at the same time.

How the color choice is presented depends on the browser you are using, I think some browsers offer quite an extensive choice.

What basemap are you using? With Kurviger Liberty most colors should work relatively well.

Yes, thanks for mentioning this, this is currently a bit unexpected that you can only select one folder.

• Color - OK, really a detail. The most important is to have the opportunity to change it

• For me the visibility is a bit limit and would be great having the option to thicken the lines. But again far from being critical.
  FYI I don’t see in my list Kurviger Liberty.

FYI I don’t see in my list Kurviger Liberty.
The only Kurviger maps I’ve access to are:

Ah yes, this was renamed to “Standard” sorry . This is the default Kurviger map

I mark parts of routes that I liked the most and put it in a “best of” route folder. In addition I like to view my driven routes. Some routes are overlayed and the routes look all the same which makes it hard to differentiate. If colors were available I’d also create a “avoid” route folder with red coloring instead of routes driven: blue and best of: green.

So I’m wondering: Is there any update on colored overlays?

Hallo, ich habe die Overlays bei mir aktiviert und wenn ich eine Route plane, dann sind die Overlays in der Ansicht “über” der geplanten Route. Das macht aus meiner Sicht die Routenplanung eher schwieriger, weil ich nicht wirklich genau sehe, wo ich die Route geplant habe.

Ist das so vorgesehen oder kann ich da irgendwo wählen, was “on-Top” sichtbar sein soll?

Wäre es “underlay” würde man nicht mehr klar erkennen, ob die Route noch dem Track folgt …

Du kannst auch mit Taste “R” die Route kurz ausblenden.
Dann sieht man den Unterschied besser.

Oder, wie Viola schon erwähnt hat, Farbe und Breite des Overlays anpassen.

Vielen Dank für die Tipps. Den mit der Taste R finde ich recht gut, kannte ich nicht. Auch die Routenbreite hilft hier. Optimal finde ich es trotzdem nicht, aber ich kann ganz gut damit leben.

Vielleicht kann eine weitere Option zum Ändern der Strichlinie/Lücken eingeführt werden.

Keine Lücken/durchgehende Linie - bessere Darstellung von Bereichen, zum Beispiel Grenzen.

Große Lücken - bessere Sichtbarkeit auf darunterliegende Route auch bei breitem Overlay

Es ist aktuell nicht möglich zu wählen was “on top” liegt. Ein paar gute Tipps hast du schon bekommen. Hier nochmal alle Tastenkürzel, die dir bei der Planung helfen können. Wie du die Größe und Farbe der Overlays anpassen kannst findest du hier.
