Additional Details From Poor Online Review

I posted a poor review on Google Play and was invited to provide more information here.

The illegal U-turn I noted was here and show in this screen shot

The parking lot detour is shown here.

I am interested in using your mapping app if it functions as advertised and doesn’t send me down a “one way” the wrong way.

The routing

is not caused by Kurviger algorithms, but by used OSM data - any routing algorithms using OSM data might route that way:
A left turn restriction inhibits turning from Jasper Avenue NW into 95 Street NW :

Remark: If there is no left turn restriction, you can edit that in OSM, or give feedback here, than we can remove it.

So in this cas Kurviger takes the left turn from Jasper Avenue NW into secondary link - for me it seems plausible, that left turn is not allowed there, but as far as I can see there is no restriction in OSM data.

Remark: If there definitely is a left turn restriction, you can edit that in OSM, or give feedback here, than we can add it.

Usually changes in OSM data become effective for KUrviger routing within 2 days.
You can check the timestamp of last update of Kurviger database in Web and App:

Thanks for using the forum, that allows discussing issues way better than just using reviews.

Thanks for reporting this, I added the turn restriction for this turn as well. So it should work correctly on Kurviger in a few days as well.

While not ideal, Kurviger is trying to bring you as close as possible to your destination and these paths seem to be accessible according to OSM. For this case I don’t see a good fix from our end as Kurviger will only go there if you set a waypoint there.

If you set a shaping point you see the reason why this street isn’t used:

But only in the website, not in the app …

This is also available in the app if you enable the route information view (this can be done for example in the settings)
