Best month for A roadtrip? (Northern Italy/Switzerland/France)

Hi guys,

I’m planning to go on another roadtrip (±4000km) somewhere around the summer but last time i went, in september, the weather was really bad in the dolomites so i had to do some rerouting towards the South of France.

This time, i hope to get luckier. My first plan was to go in June but this seems like one of the wetter months.

In your experience, what time of year has been the best regarding the weather in the dolomites/alpes?

The weather and its caprices are unpredictable. I had the best weather there in June/July/August, but also catastrophic weather conditions. It’s best to set off and check the weather in the morning. Go where it seems to be nice. So without advance bookings.

yeah this seems the way to go. Probably will go late june as july and august aren’t options right now. Will hope for the best :smiley:
