I have a BMW F900XR with my helmet and iPhone both connected to the bike TFT via Bluetooth and my phone also connected to a Carpuride W502BS using CarPlay. I have an iOS shortcut that is triggered when the phone connects to CarPlay which redirects playback audio to the bike TFT via Bluetooth. This allows full control over Spotify music from the bike wonder wheel, including volume, skip forward and back and also display current song on the TFT. This setup works very well, however I can no longer hear Kurviger navigation voice guidance. For some reason the audio from kurviger is still routed through CarPlay even though the audio from Spotify is directed through Bluetooth to the bike TFT and onwards to my headset. I previously was able to hear kurviger navigation voice guidance through my headset overlayed on top of the music with this exact same setup. I’m not sure with which app update version the problem originally started. I currently have an iPhone 17 Pro but this problem also occurred with my previous iPhone 13 Pro.
As an experiment, I was able to create a similar setup in my car with my phone paired to Bluetooth earbuds while also connected to CarPlay. I redirected playback audio to the earphones and Spotify music switched to the earphones, however kurviger voice guidance was still coming through the car speakers using CarPlay.
Is there a way to make navigation voice guidance come through the same media channel as the music via Bluetooth while the map data is displayed on the CarPlay screen?
PS. I tried switching the voice output channel from Default to Calls in the kurviger app, however this was not satisfactory as every time there was a spoken instruction, the music playback briefly cutout, then both the music and voice instruction were heard through the helmet with low sound quality associated with the “Call” audio channel, then when the voice instruction ended, there was another momentary pause while the music playback switched back to the higher quality media channel.
