Hallo,
für die Zukunft fände ich es persönlich praktisch wenn man einen Ordner mit den darin enthalten Routen mit einem Klick exportieren könnte. Oder mehrere Datei auf ein einmal importieren könnte.
Finde -nach Eingewöhnung - die neue APP gelungen, insbesonders der direkte Zugriff auf die Cloud!

Ich lade die Routen in meinen eigenen Chat auf Telegram hoch. So habe ich sie auch dann zur Verfügung, wenn ich keine Datenverbindung habe und könnte sie bei Bedarf mit Kollegen teilen.
Das ist dann aber eine externe Lösung. Unter K2 hatte ich auch alle meine Routen in Google Drive gespeichert und mit einem lokalen Ordner auf meinem Handy synchronisiert. Als Backup bestimmt nicht verkehrt, die Frage bezog sich aber, soweit ich das verstanden habe auf die Cloud in Kurviger und das direkte Teilen aus der kurviger Cloud mit anderen kurviger Usern.
Ja, die Frage ging am Ende in die Richtung, ob man nicht die Routen/Ordner in kurviger teilen könnte.
Eingangs ging es aber ach darum, einen ganzen Ordner exportieren zu können, oder eben für den Export mehrere Dateien.
Wäre auch bei mir wünschenswert.
Ich stelle auch meiner gruppe die Routen zur Verfügung.
Exportiere dann z.B. 10 Routen in .kurviger (für mich und meinen Sohn) und nochmal gpx für die Garmin Jünger.
Wäre super, wenn ich einfach in einem Ordner die Routen zum export anwählen könnte bzw. oben mit alle.
Da darf dann gerne eine ZIP-Datei runtergeladen werden.
So kenne ich das von Nextcloud (wo ich die Routen dann teile)

Darf ich kurz fragen, was sich oder ob sich was tut zum Thema Teilen von Ordnern bzw. Routen?
Ich hatte für diese Funktion auch gevotet.
Mir geht es darum, die Urlaubsrouten, die über mein Account in der Cloud gespeichert sind auch meinem Mann zur Verfügung zu stellen, der wegen seinem Handy und auch aus Fairnessgründen ein eigenes K3 Abo hat. Entsprechend hat er “seine” Cloud und ich mit den Routen “meine”.
Ist geplant, dass man das irgendwie kopieren, verteilen, verschieben kann?

Auch sehr gut wäre wenn man alle Touren aus einem Cloudorder auf einmal speichern bzw. exportieren könnte.

I know that Kurviger developers are working to invent the concept of:
static short links which point to cloud based files where the contents of that file can be dynamically changed/edited over time.
versus
static short links which point to a static moment in time incarnation of a route as seen on the screen.
the concept of a static link into a cloud file who’s contents can change over time
is a concept which groups would routinely utilize
yet is a concept an individual who rides alone might never utilize.
The point of this post is for the developers to give consideration to these three things:
a) no group/club wants to lose ownership of a route simply because an officer lost an election.
please think about how a club could transfer ownership of a cloud file to the newly elected officer.
also a club could have dozens if not hundreds of files (routes) all of which need to be transferred to the winner of the election.
The transfer process should include the ability to transfer a collection of routes in one mouse click.
b) no group/club want to lose the history of how a cloud file route has changed over time.
this concept could be implemented any number of ways, one way would be to have the cloud file “save” function
perform two actions:
1) save the [filename]
2) generate a traditional point in time short link append “timestamp” | “short link” record into a file called [filename].history
the purpose of the records in [filename].history is those records could be used to revert the original [filename] to any given point in time.
c) no group/club wants to endure a state where one person becomes a total blockage to all progress within the club.
there should be the ability for N people to be granted “edit” rights to a given cloud file.
in this manner if a given route planner is sick/injured another can perform the needed route modifications.

as background to the above I offer my own group/club as an example.
* our group has bevy of officers with the traditional titles that all group utilize.
Beyond the above we also have these roles (their job duties are self explanatory).
Webmaster / Route Planner Lead / Route Planner 1 / Route Planner 2 / Route Planner 3
A google sheet exists within the webmaster’s account with “edit” rights given to the four “route planners”.
The above google sheet is a collection of records that describe our route planner’s work product over time
the field names of these records include:
route name, version#, date, author, short link, metrics(mile/time/elevation(s)), route description, reason for change,…
our 4 route planners use their own Kurviger account, develop new routes and/or correct deficiencies in existing routes.
when a given route planner is happy with their work product
they create a short link and data entry a new record into the above google sheet.
on a monthly basis key officers using their own accounts are supposed to manually make a safety backup of the above google sheet.
the above manual backups gives us a degree of protection from a rare incident of disgruntled employee sabotage.
Furthermore google protects sheets from honest data entry mistakes by organically providing point in time versioning.
The above two concepts allow our club to recover from both honest data entry mistakes and most sabotage attempts.
It is the webmaster’s duty to make a judgement call which short link for a given route name is exposed onto our webpage and when.
when elections are held the people in charge change.
This means every election results in ownership of google files being transferred as appropriate and/or account passwords being changed.
Aha - and you believe that all this should be implemented in navigation software? 
It seems to me to be more of an accounting problem than a navigation problem.
There are some cloud systems (e.g. Dropbox) with which your approaches can be solved perfectly.
I’d rather ride my motorcycle than belonging to a club where elections are held.

the disconnect is that Kurviger has always been WAY more than mere navigation software.
one could reasonably assert that first and foremost Kurviger is route planning software.
One can assert the above because before anyone can click “start navigation” someone needs to have planned the route to be taken.
Furthermore, it could be reasonably asserted that the most important aspect of planning any route is that the route planned needs to be faithfully communicated to the riders of that route.
Kurviger has always excelled in the faithful communication of a route.
Specifically, the route planner generates a 5 character short code,
and the phone software will consume that 5 character code and then proceed to navigate that route with 100% faithfulness to author’s intent.
What is being discussed is the physical characteristics of that 5 character short code.
In today’s world every time the route planner tweaks the route being planned,
they must then generate a brand new 5 character short code.
this string will always be different than the prior string
The above difference means that whomever received the old string is now out of step with current author intent.
Almost always, that same route planner is saving their work product into the Kurviger cloud
using the exact same filename today as what they used weeks ago when they first started to dream up the charity ride.
In the above example the route planner would love it if they they could have a short code to their filename vs a short code to a point in time incarnation of the file.
Both short codes have their use cases and the features of one use case are incompatible with the other use case.
as of this writing the 5 character code to the Kurviger cloud file does not exist but it is in the planning stage and the point/purpose of this thread is a request for the development staff to keep the 3 listed items in mind. (see original post for those 3 items)
@toffel I first learned that Kurviger development team was investigating adding pointers to cloud based filenames when it was mentioned in this thread (see link)
I did not want to pollute the above thread. So I created the thread you are reading now to articulate items that I think the development team should consider when creating the ability to have pointers to filenames.
if the development team reads my initial post and performs due diligence on those ideas then that is all I could ask for.
Should they then decide to not to proceed with implementation then that decision is acceptable as at least I know that the decision was made with thoughtful deliberation.

Your requests are valid and I am sure, the team would consider them. However, I do not see yor post it as “polluting” the other thread, more like “keeping things together”. I would assume it makes it easier for the team to find and consider all related ideas if they are kept in one place.
(@Viola could you check with development teams if the threads should be merged.)
Another topic that could be opened as a separate thread is the support for clubs.
Kurviger could offer an additional licence model (possibly priced beyond “Tourer+”) with advanced features that would be more interesting for clubs and maybe less for individuals. By this I do not intend to say that your above proposal is interesting only for clubs, this would be a separate consideration.
In this separate thread, the club officials and members could present their use cases and needs, which would allow Kurviger Team to consider if there is a sustainable business case for them.

Thanks for creating this discussion. I t hink it is important to discuss these things. I am not sure we will be able to support all these requirements in the short to medium term. Especially the ownership transfer. Right now you would have to do this manually, like opening every link and create a new route in your own cloud. That works fine for 20 routes, but would be annoying for 200 routes.
This can be still done, you can always either generate a new link or even save multiple versions of the route in the cloud like, route_v1, route_v2.
Multiple edits rights is definitely interesting. You can work around this problem if somebody else creates a copy and edits this. So even right now, nobody will be stuck.
We will keep your points in mind when improving our system to see if we can integrate as much as possible here as well.

your reply will guide my thought process on how best to behave/operate both as an individual and as a club member.
as background to this question imagine I performed the following 5 actions today…
A) I create a route on the screen
I do NOT save the route to the kurviger cloud
I then create a short link and share this 5 character code with person “A”
B) I create a route on the screen
I DO save the route to the kurviger cloud
I then create a short link and share this 5 character code with person “B”
C) I create a route, click export choosing file type “.kurviger” and give the “.kurviger” file to person “C”
D) I create a route, click export choosing file type “.gpx” maximizing data points and give the .gpx file to person “D”
E) After having saved my route into kurvgier cloud I give my kurviger username/password to person “E”
For the purposes of my question, after having performed all 5 above actions I am struck dead.
Being dead I am no longer logging into kurviger nor am I renewing my kurviger license.
Let us also assume that A/B/C/D/E did nothing with their gifts other than secure them so they exist later.
now imagine it is the year 2030 (6 years from now) all 5 A/B/C/D/E people become kurviger+ users in 2030
of the 5 people, which will enjoy success navigating my route as I intended?
feel free to clarify your response as needed.
In future Nobody will use your Route, during this time you can expect too many changes.
Do we all still use combustion engines Motocycles ? Streets changes…blabla.
Sorry this is a philosophical discussion, and the technical solutions are what they are.

A-E should all kind of work in 6 years. I mean the roads might change. Our routing might change. So, depending on the route more or less details about the route might change. But I would expect all options to basically work in 5-10 years.

Thank you! The above is way better news than I expected. I will continue to rely on short links working.
The existence and usefulness of short links is how I convince friends to use kurviger+ and the converts have been happy.
I do not know the implementation details behind short links but in my mind
they are standard ".kurviger"files which are stored on the kurviger server and the short link system then provides a sysgen URL pointing into that file.
@boldtrn based on your comment I will continue to rely on short links which I generated in the past, to still exist years into the future. I understand those links must operate within the constraints of what roads exist at that time.
@Hampic’s it is hard to accept that “no one will ever use saved links”
That statement has to be false on face value. The whole point of saved links is to generate them today to be consumed at a later date.
I have links generated many years ago ( 2019? ) that I have used years later and that includes this year - thus far they have worked as expected…
I find with great value to having a library of kick-ass rides that one can pull out of the box and re-visit/re-enjoy in future years.
so in conclusion.
what I think I will do is continue to rely on short links existing - even N years into the future.
Since I already own a “google sheet” of records which map all the short links I care about along with a description of what that route means/does. I will pick the key ones and export an actual .kurviger file and place it on Google Drive.
The above will give me two methods to pullup the kick-ass rides that I wish to revisit in future years.
