Cloud: Share folder / Ordner teilen

I know it sounds a bit harsh, but I don’t mean it in a bad way. if I use an older link, I usually check it again, as there will always be new findings to optimise it further.

@Hampic, that is not harsh at all.
for what it is worth…
I find it takes 2 to 3 hours to create a kick-ass group ride.
The tasks include:

  • the rough inspiration of what to do.
  • the “optimizing” the route to be as curvy as I could make it.
  • the “scope creeping” the route to be longer and include more things because I want a longer ride.
  • I plan piddle breaks every 60-90 minutes
  • I make sure gas available every 100 miles (when we stop for gas I announce how far is next gas and let people decide for themselves what range their bike has left)
  • and by hour #4 we better have stopped, or be stopping for food
  • after doing the above I now have a 4 to 7 hours of saddle time planned but I am not done yet.
-. I then use the tools that exist - OSM / gravelmap.com / google-street view / google satellite imagery to verify that every inch of that route is gravel free. and if I find a gravel section reroute as needed.

at this point I am done. The work product is a kick ass day of roughly 5 to 7 hours of saddle time, thus far everyone is thrilled to go on these rides because we hit roads they didn’t know existed. And we hit more hills and curves than they would have found on their own.

Thus far I have never my route become invalid with time.
What I have noticed is roads which used to be barely 2 lanes wide and without painted lines have been upgraded to be fully 2 lanes wide and now sport both center lines and edge lines. the improved road is just as curvy as before it just has lines now.

Given the time it takes to make a route it makes sense to me to put it in a library so I can reuse. it.
About the only thing I do when reusing a route is to google verify the “via” stops are still in business.

Hello,
is there a possibilty to share my cloud with other friends (with other email addresses)?
Thx

Please feel free to vote for this feature in this topic. It’s not yet available.

You can share routes using the short link in the meantime, but it’s not the same

It would be really nice if I could share a complete cloud folder, e.g. my route planning for my vacation, with my buddys and not have to share 14 individual routes.

Hello ,En train de planifier des routes que je vais partager avec des amis , ne pourrait t on pas ajouter une fonction pour partager une collection entière comme on le fait pour une route par QR Code ou par un lien de partage ?
