Creating a trip, share it, navigating On- and Offline

Hello together,

calimoto is re-calculating a planned trip if you are using it online. This follows, if you share a planned trip and riding in an Offline mode, the trip „broken“ and it the same as in an Online mode. This was confirmed by calimoto.

How is this with kurviger?

simply, creating a trip with the web browers and sharing it afterwards. 1. driver is using the offline navigating , the second is using online navigating.

Question: the routing is 100 %ly identical or differs?

Kurviger currently cannot recalculate the route while offline, therefore the “offline-rider” will have the original route the whole time.

The “online rider” has the option to switch-off the automatic recalculation and can keep the original route this way.

If the “online-rider” recalculates the route the result depends on the current position and number of shaping points and via-points left on the rest of the route.

Kurviger also has an UNDO function, which can be used after recalculation to revert to the original route if the result of the recalculation was undesired. For this, you would need to pause the navigation, undo the change and then resume.
