Hi Guys , is it possible to change the date format on the kurviger app, android mobile. Many thanks in advance.
What do you want to change.
A “why” would be fine as well.
Only about my intrest
I want to change it to the normal format that I am used to like the 1st of January 2026. No reason other than familiarity.
I usually do not pay much attention to the date format, but now that it was mentioned, I would like to report a related error (Android 12).
In Kurviger app
In folder overview, the date is displayed in MM/DD/YYYY format, but when I open the folder, the date format changes to DD/MM/YYYY.
Examples:
In mobile browser
In Brave browser, two different date formats are used as well, but this time DD.MM.YYYY and DD/MM/YYYY
UPDATE:
Apparently date format in folders and favourites is language dependent, whereas for the routes it is not. I would also like to give to the consideration that although in United States the MDY order may be common, in Europe DMY appears to be more common. For users from Europe, whose language is not supported in the app and hence switch to English, the app enforces the unfamiliar MDY order.
Here is an overview:
This is really interesting, it should not be different, thanks for finding this, we will have a look.
We let the system format the date in the default time format, the system uses. So it should depend on your settings from your phone / pc / browser. We will double check though.
Ok, in my APP ( Android,German config ) the date is always DD.MM.YYYY.
Web on german PC the same.
A PC with Win11 hungarian Installation, changed to english i got a difference.
Normal in Cloud folder and hungarian style ( MM/DD/YYYY ) for the routes.
I tested different combinations, these are my results:
- The date format in the folder list and favourites list is directly dependent on the language set in the App (not on the phone settings).
- The date in the route list is dependent on the language set in the phone settings.
We double checked the behaviour. The formatting on the website now works the same both for folder and routes/favorites. It now depends on the language settings (not phone settings). The formatting itself is done by the browser though, so it can still depend on the browser, phone settings, location, etc.
