Error Message when tranferring GPX File (after export download) to USB Stick

Hi there.
Up to last April it was fine to create GPX files via Kurviger and the upload it into the SatNav BoomBox from my Harley FLHTK. Recently I just found out, that the transfer of the GPX File from my Computer to the USB Stick creates Error Messages like “couldn’t transfer all the attributes” (Eigenschaften). If still try to download the fie and upload it to my Harley. The SatNav start to play heck. has anybody encountered the same and what is the solution?

I have no Harley. It does not sound to me as it is a Harley specific issue, but an issue with the stick and perhaps changed Computer.

Check if the stick is full, or broken. Perhaps you do not have write-permission to the stick. Check the properties in Windows(?) of the stick, if your user has full access. Does the stick has a switch for write-protection?

I would probably first download everything from the stick and verify my backup". Format this or another stick with FAT32 (at least I read this is the required Format). Everything on the stick might be deleted! Then try again.

Hi. Thank you. Yes, the issue is when downloading the file to the USB-Stick and doesn’t have anythintg to do with the Harley SatNav. But it’s neither an issue with the computer nor the USB-Stick as the acutal hardware. I’ve tried it with several USB-Stick (always formated; FAT32 before) with routes created on different computers. Always the same error message. When I use older GPX-Routes, that I’ve created with Kurviger some time ago and store it on the same USB-Stick it works fine without any error messages. I assume the issue is the new version of Kurviger or so.

Strange. From my side no idea anymore.

Perhaps you can upload here a “works.gpx” and a “fails.gpx”.

If a Harley driver reads this, he/she could easily double check

Thank you.

I am also not aware of any changes that could explain this. Files to compare would be good though.
