Recently, I noticed an issue in your software/web application. When exporting a GPX file with waypoints, it only works correctly once per session. In subsequent exports, the waypoints are missing. I have worked around this by opening a separate session in my application/browser for each export. However, it seems desirable that a user should be able to perform multiple exports with waypoints consecutively within a single session.
Hello Eugenio, thank you for your first post here on the forum.
I can’t quite follow that. I used the kurviger.de web application on my PC to create a route with three waypoints and exported it as a GPX file. I then exported it a second time. Next, I modified the route and exported it again. After deleting the route, I imported all three GPX files. In every instance, the respective waypoints were included.
Did you perhaps do something differently?
Did you perhaps just save the track by deselecting the route (click on Route, see arrow)?
Thank you both for your replies. 1. I did klick the right options every time I experienced this issue. 2. Ofcourse I read the manual. To be clear I did not export to import in Kurviger again. I made this exports to another program - Garmin - and to my filesystem. I noticed the issue on my Garmin and then I was able to replicated the issue several times. Moreover I opened the exported files in another program which then showed the same issue. I read the content of the GPX-file and noticed that right after the the data was missing in the problematic files.
Okay, thanks for clarifying. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to reproduce it yet. Could you perhaps describe exactly what steps you take during the export? Which format/device do you select, which settings do you choose, etc.? Are all Waypoints missing (so only start and end still in the file) or only Shaping Points, Waypoints or the additional waypoints from the export?
Thanks Toffel, I was just about to send a similar set of images, you came up with the same problem. Also liked that putting the switches back and forth is influential, probably that confused me the previous times. Overall I am satisfied with Kurviger, I am curious about the solution. Greetings, Eugenio Eijck
