Vielleicht geht es einigen hier wie mir: Meine Nette Alte Dame (Honda CB 500 PC32) hat keinen USB-Port und ich will auch keinen Nachrüsten. Bei längeren Touren wäre es also nützlich, den Akkuverbrauch des Telefons zu optimieren. Ich mache das bisher so, dass ich das Display ausschalte und nur auf die Ansagen höre. Wenn die “300 m” Ansage kommt, schalte ich das Display wieder an… das ist unpraktisch und auch nicht unbedingt sicher. Darum:
Die App sollte in der Lage sein, entweder den Bildschirm auszuschalten oder auf minimale Helligkeit zu dimmen, wenn man dem Streckenverlauf folgt. Kurz vor einem Manöver sollte die App den Bildschirm wieder anschalten oder auf volle Helligkeit hochfahren.
Maybe some of you are in the same situation as me: my bikedy doesn’t have a USB port, and I’m not planning to retrofit one. So on longer rides, it would be really useful to optimize my phone’s battery usage.
Right now, I handle it by turning off the display and just listening to the voice instructions. When I hear the “300 meters” prompt, I turn the screen back on… which is kind of clunky and not exactly the safest approach.
So here’s the idea:
The app should be able to either turn off the screen completely or dim it to minimum brightness while following a route. Then, shortly before a maneuver, it should automatically turn the screen back on or ramp the brightness up to maximum.
