Are there plans to add traffic lights to the maps? This is very helpfull and also for safety point of view.

I don’t see any traffic lights (ampel 
) on the map, so I cannot see them in advance and therefor not adjust my speed prematurely. Google maps has them and I think it wil be a big (safety) improvement. Or do I miss a way to make them visible?
Wouldn’t it be better to look at the road and your surroundings? Traffic lights are usually clearly visible and are there for safety reasons.
In cities it might be helpfull by means of additional orientation.
For example if you can see, that you need to turn (right or left) at the next traffic light and not on one of the crossroads before (or vice versa).

I think this ist very good idea ! If you use GMaps in a city, you will see , the traffic lights in the navigation is very helpful.
When for example driving in Germany on local roads between small cities it happens that after long curves where you cannot see in the distance, a traffic light occures. It would be a lot safer to see the traffic light on the map before the long curves so that you can adapt your speed.
Wenn man in D mit der an der Stelle geltenden Geschwindigkeit fährt ist es sicher kein Problem rechtzeit diese Wahr zu nehmen , sollte die Ampel wirklich nicht rechtzeit einsehbar sein steht da folgendes Schild
Bedeutung und Einsatz
- Es warnt vor einer nicht rechtzeitig sichtbaren Ampel, zum Beispiel hinter einer Kurve oder einer Kuppe.
- Es fordert dazu auf, die Geschwindigkeit anzupassen und bremsbereit zu sein.
- AuĂźerorts wird es oft mit einem Tempolimit von 70 km/h kombiniert.
mit 200 wird es natĂĽrlich evtl nicht ganz langen.
Die Idee dahinter ist doch, sich an den Ampeln zusätzlich orientieren zu können, also an der nächsten Ampel links, falls auf dem Weg dahin noch zwei Einmündungen sind, braucht es da weniger Aufmerksamkeit. Probiert das mal z.B. mit GMaps in einer von unbekannten Gegend, nicht auf dem Arbeitsweg ! Das macht die Orientierung, gerade in einer größeren Stadt, viel einfacher. Jeder der schon mal in Genua den Fährhafen gesucht hat wird das bestimmt bestätigen können.
