🛠️ Feature Suggestions to Improve Kurviger 🚀

Loving the app more with every ride! :motorcycle:
Here are some ideas that could make Kurviger even more awesome, especially for long solo trips or when riding with spotty signal :antenna_bars::

:electric_plug: 1. Full Offline Optimization
Allow max usage without internet, including route editing, POIs and weather if previously synced.

:cloud_with_rain: 2. Rain Alert Along Route
Automatic rain forecast updates along the route (e.g. every 30 minutes), with alerts if rain is expected ahead.

:round_pushpin: 3. ETA per Key Waypoints
Show ETA at major waypoints (e.g. every 50+ km), skipping those too close to each other. Helps in better planning.

:sun: 4. Forecast at Arrival Time per Waypoint
Display local weather forecast at each waypoint based on estimated arrival time. Very useful! :thermometer:

:spaghetti: 5. “Find a Place to Eat” Button
Just like the fuel station button :fuel_pump:, add a “:fork_and_knife: Find food nearby” that fetches Google Maps ratings and reviews.

:warning: 6. Fuel Alert by Distance
Add custom fuel alert after X km (e.g. 250 km) and suggest fuel stops based on average bike consumption (set manually).

Thanks for considering these! :crossed_fingers:
Kurviger is already a brilliant tool for bikers, these would make it even more ride-perfect :brain::blue_heart:

Very good to hear you like Kurviger already!
Thanks for the input! Not all of these wishes are entirely new  We consider features based on various factors — especially whether many users share the same need.

At least for number 5, we already have a good way to do this, also with a quick link to google maps infos on the locations (though not with a single click in the navigation).

You guys are amazing!
I’ve often been hungry and had to open Google Maps to search for food and read reviews of places.
The way I drive, I need an alert that says, “It’s 12:00! Don’t you think we should stop and eat?”

Like your mindset

Never heard that before, but it sounds kind of interesting… get’s me thinking… :slightly_smiling_face:

For fixed times - every smartphone has a calendar and alarms.
Do we need these things in the navigation App as well?

I have tried an app that would warn you when you have been riding a certain amount of time (e.g.. 1 hour) without having a break.
It is a nice gimmick, but my priorities are elsewhere.

About the food alert, it was a joke, but if you think about it, it makes sense.
It’s 12:00, I’m halfway through, and an alert pops up asking if I want Kurvinger to suggest bars or restaurants in the area, suggesting them via Google info with reviews and more.
Bonus: monetize with the classic system of suggesting some ads for restaurants in the area. I press a button and it sets it as the next waypoint.
From a software development perspective, it’s a link to Google data.
Sometimes jokes lead to new business ideas
