aktuell noch im Teststadium bin ich zunehmend von Kurviger begeistert. Vorhin mal eine Adresse gesucht, die Google Maps sofort ausspuckt, aber Kurviger findet diese Adresse nicht (In Bornheim). Wie ist die genaue Syntax zur Adresseingabe?
Eigentlich wie man spricht .. Stadt Strasse Hausnummer. Datenbasis ist OpenStreetMap.
Die Detailtiefe wie Google (andere Größe und Möglichkeiten) ist es nicht, ggf. bei POI’s wie Hotels Koordinate nach Kurviger kopieren. Ich habe noch immer alles gefunden. Maps ist bei deaktiviert, geht auch.
Dass die Suche der Adresse in Bornheim funktioniert, wurde bereits im GS Forum bestätigt.
Äh. Interessant. Ich suche eine Adresse so wie ich die schreibe… auf einem Brief.
StraĂźe, Nummer, (PLZ), Stadt.
Viellecht funktioniert die Suche deswegen für mich nicht so gut…
Beim Strassennamen reichen meist Fragmente.
Also einfach “losplappern” mit Fragmenten, bisher alles supi.
Suche nach PLZ funktioniert (fĂĽr mich) nicht, zumindest nicht in DE. Ich kann mich falsch erinnern; hatte mal testweise die Graphhopper-API ausprobiert und meine, dass PLZ nicht in der Graphhopper Schnittstelle ĂĽbergeben werden kann. Muss ja weltweit funktionieren, da hat jedes Land ein eigenes System. Daher wohl Textsuche.
In meinen Favoriten schreibe ich ab und zu PLZ ins Bemerkungsfeld, weil da der Text durchsucht wird.
Das stimmt ja so nicht. Dort lernt man, das man die StraĂźe nicht mit dem StraĂźennamen zusammen schreiben darf. Also nicht, wie im allgemeinen Sprachgebrauch ĂĽblich KoblenzerstraĂźe, sondern Koblenzer StraĂźe.
Somit ist meine Frage (Wenn auch nicht hier) beantwortet worden.
Wie Strassennamen, insbesondere mit Bezug auf Städte, richtig geschrieben werden, ist geregelt und keine freie Erfindung. siehe hier:
Wäre es ein allgemeiner Sprachgebrauch, würde das sicherlich auch so auf den Beschilderungen vermerkt. 
Soviel zum Thema GUI und Fehlertoleranz. Google Maps findet die StraĂźe sofort, auch zusammengeschrieben.

Das Thema wird hier auch schon lange diskutiert und ich finde die Suche bzw. die Anzeige der Suchergebnisse auch deutlich verbesserungswĂĽrdig.
From the perspective of a long-time US user, the Kurviger weakness that it does not find addresses as easily as Google Maps is seriously limiting Kurviger’s growth. When I introduce Kurviger to someone, I have to show them how to work around this weakness. This is usually enough to stop them from adopting Kurviger. Example (see screen shot below): When I enter “431 Main Street, Chimney Rock, North Carolina, 28720” (letter style order), Kurviger offers me the street (Main Street) and five different businesses on that street, but it fails to find 431 which is the address for the building at the entrance to Chimney Rock State Park. If I enter the address in reverse order (28720, North Carolina, Chimney Rock, Main Street, 431), I get the same result.

As you can see on the map excerpt, some house numbers are missing. This is why the search falls on house number 430.

If you mark exactly which house has the number 431, this can be added to OSM. After that, it should be possible to search according to your desired address.

This is not solvable by adding one missing address after another; it happens way too often.
Here’s a randomly selected house near me in Hendersonville, NC: When I enter “10 Grayling Ln, Laurel Park, NC 28739”, I get only the street followed by a nearby completely different street followed by three places not in the US at all…
…so I have to find it in Google Maps and transfer it by eye (no coordinates) or select a point near it and transfer the coordinates of that point; I shouldn’t have to do that…
After I did the above example, I randomly selected the addresses of five more nearby houses and Kurviger did not find any of them. After that, I selected the addresses of five nearby businesses and Kurviger found one of the five - a Walmart Super Center.
If Kurviger was not OMG amazing at finding great curvy roads, this weakness would have caused me to abandon Kurviger years ago. As it is, when I try to introduce others to Kurviger, most give up when they discover this weakness. Please fix this; it is killing the growth of Kurviger here.
Zugegeben benutze ich eine detaillierte Adresssuche selten. Habe dabei aber keine Probleme, das zu finden, was ich suche.
Was mich stört, sind die unsinnigen “Fundstücke” die mir zusätzlich angeboten werden:
Da werden offensichtlich die detaillierten Beschreibungen aller möglichen POIs (vielleicht auch nur der ersten drei?) nach möglichen Treffern durchsucht und dann jemandem in North Carolina der Stoderzinken als Ergebnis angeboten (siehe oben). Abgesehen davon finde ich die Bilder solcher POIs überflüssig.

What bothers me are the nonsensical “findings” that are additionally offered to me.
Apparently, the detailed descriptions of all possible POIs (perhaps only the first three?) are searched for possible matches and then someone in North Carolina is offered the Stoderzinken as a result (see above). Apart from that, I find the images of such POIs superfluous.
