Android app to correct altimeter reported to other apps

Based on the provided search results, here are some Android apps that can help correct altimeter readings reported to other apps:

  1. Accurate Altimeter: This app uses three methods to measure altitude: satellite triangulation, ground elevation from a global elevation map, and a pressure sensor (if available). It provides accurate readings and allows calibration with EGM96. This app can help correct altimeter readings reported to other apps by providing a reliable and accurate measurement of altitude.
  2. GPS Tools: This app offers a comprehensive set of features, including an altimeter, compass, and GPS tracking. It provides accurate altitude readings and allows users to set waypoints and track altitude over time. The app also works offline, making it a reliable option for outdoor activities. GPS Tools can help correct altimeter readings by providing a consistent and accurate measurement of altitude.
  3. My Altitude: This app provides a complete solution for altitude measurement, including altitude, coordinates, barometric pressure, water boiling point, and NOAA data. It also allows users to take photos with attached coordinates, altitude, and other details. My Altitude can help correct altimeter readings by providing a comprehensive set of altitude-related data.

When using these apps, it’s essential to note the following:

  • Ensure your Android device has a barometric pressure sensor, as this sensor is used to calculate altitude.
  • Calibrate the app’s altimeter function, if possible, to ensure accurate readings.
  • Use the app’s offline mode, if available, to avoid relying on internet connectivity for altitude calculations.
  • Verify the app’s accuracy by comparing readings with other reliable sources, such as GPS devices or altimeters.

By using these apps and following the above guidelines, you can help correct altimeter readings reported to other apps and ensure more accurate altitude measurements.

why another App wich needs Power, RAM…
A Button into kurviger correct yes or no. Or a field for correction (Meter) and for everybode all is ok.
Allways count is about this is possible, but only a workaround. Same with such an App!

Thank you for your information, unfortunately this does not help me because the route recording also saves the altitude of the Kurviger app, I have an accurate altimeter but it only measures for itself not for the Kurviger App

I was curious and checked my current position in K1, K3, OsmAnd and a compass app.
K3: 95 m
K1: 85 m
OsmAnd: 55 m
Kompass: 44 m

Those are some wide variations. I do know OsmAnd is off compared to signage along a route in the Italian’s Alps. If I remember correctly it was slightly higher than the signage by about 50 meters or so. At the time I thought it could be gps satellite errors although I have a tablet with better than average satellite reception.
