Hello!
I have saved the tour and the map on the hardware “cape iter”.
But if I want to use the nwe tour or to change the route during the day kurviger tells me that it need “internet connection”.
So for what do I save both on the hardware when it would not work without connection to the internet?
Do I make anything wrong or is this normal for kurviger??
It would be great to get any help otherwise I have to change to any other software.
BNest regards,
Peter
Hello @P.E.M and welcome to the forum!
Currently, for route calculation it is required to have internet connnection, as the router is on the ontermet server.
Downloading maps helps reduce the mobile data traffic during your trip. Route calculation does not use much data volume compared to maps.
Welcome to the Forum.
You can use the route offline, but if you want to change the route Kurviger needs internet.
To navigate the route offline:
- Load the route before going offline.
To be save, export it as *.kurviger file
(not necessary, but in case something goes wrong, you have a copy). - switch off recalculation, as it won’t work offline anyway.
- download offline map of the relevant region.
Thank´s a lot for the information.
As I was driving trought the westalps there was often NO internet connection and for this reason it makes no sense. I had donwloaded the map and the routes to the Carbe Iter. But as written it would not help if I have no connection at the beginnning or during driving when it needs a recalculation.
It´s a pitty, but it is as it is.
Thank you again for the frienndly help, but I want/need a real offline navigation.
Best regards,
Peter
I am sure it works when I have an internet connection. So I could use it in areas where this is possbile. But it´s more then useless when you want to start in the morning and no navigation will help you…
