Kurviger App 1.14.28 Not Recognizing New Route Links – Opens in Browser Instead

I’ve been using Kurviger since 2019, and recently I noticed an issue. When I create a route using the Kurviger web version and share the link, clicking the link on my phone doesn’t open it in the Kurviger app as expected. Instead, it opens the route in the browser. However, older routes that I created in previous years still open correctly in the Kurviger app for navigation. It seems like recently created routes aren’t being recognized as Kurviger links. If I manually import the route using the shortened link in the app, it loads and I can navigate, but it’s not automatically associated with the Kurviger app.

Check whether both the Kurviger app and Kurviger web are open

Gehe auf deinen Home-Screen.
Klicke lange auf die Kurviger Pro App.
Klicke auf das Info Symbol / App Informationen.
Scrolle runter zu Standardmäßig öffnen.
Aktiviere den Schalter Unterstützte Links öffnen.

As I mentioned, this issue only occurs with new routes—they open in the browser, while all my older routes open correctly in the Kurviger app. See the attached screenshot; “Open supported links” is enabled.

Bei mir öffnet sich mit dem Kurviger-Link erst K1Pro mit der Route
und dann nochmal der Browser mit der Route.

That’s exactly what’s happening. The route is only loading in the browser, not in Kurviger. Both the browser and Kurviger are opening, but the route is only visible in the browser.

Clear the route in Kurviger before clicking the link. This way, both Kurviger and the browser will open, but the route will only be loaded in the browser.

Ja genau mit einer neuen Route verhält es sich so.

The old Kurviger App (Version 1.xxx) probably only automatically opens kurviger.de Links.
Kurviger recently switched from kurviger.de to kurviger.com.
So old Kurviger App probably will not open automatically new links pointing to kurviger.com.
But you can open them using the “import shortlink” function in K1.

Yes, you’ve correctly identified the cause of the issue. Older versions of Kurviger do not recognize kurviger.com and instead open links in the browser rather than the Kurviger application.

Thank you, Biker and rumbrummer, for helping to troubleshoot!

You should be able to export .kurviger files from the browser and then open them locally on your device.

Thank you, Robin, for creating such a fantastic app! I’ve been using it for many years, and I truly believe it’s the best app for motorcycle riders. It has taken me to beautiful and unforgettable places, and I really enjoy every ride with it.
