I’ve been using Kurviger to plan scenic round trips in southern Germany 15 days ago, and it’s been awesome so far. However, on a couple of occasions, the route took me down really sketchy gravel paths—some not even marked properly on the map.
Is there a way to tag or avoid specific roads in future route planning? Maybe through OpenStreetMap edits or in-app road avoidance settings? I don’t mind gravel, but I’d like to avoid roads that are clearly not suitable for heavy bikes with road tires.
Du kannst unter Vermeidungen “Unbefestigte Strassen” vermeiden. Ich wähle zusätzlich noch “Kleinste Strassen” in Stärke 2, damit nicht jede Kurve in einer parallelen Strasse mitgenommen wird.
You can avoid ‘unpaved roads’ by avoiding them. I also choose ‘Smallest Roads’ in strength 2, so that not every curve in a parallel road is taken.
Can you share those dangerous sections, so we can have a look what is tagged in OSM?
Also is you have a GPS Track the poorly marked roads can be corrected/improved.
In general - heavy bike on road tires - just avoid offroad completely or review your offroad sections via street view or satellite maps.
Kurviger does not have advanced offroad planing options which would take your equipment, skill level and the difficulty of the track into consideration.
