More additional information while navigating

It won’t be long now.

OK, are there any places where planned changes for next version is listed?? In the same way that the change log reflects imlemented changes

As ressources are always limited and other requirements (e.g. Apple, Google, laws,..) can take additonal ressources , the devs never published any timeline.

They make reasonable work packages to avoid double work. When you check the changelogs, you will see that even the new versions are not announced and it can be any day of the week, just when it is ready.

I prefer this way, as it avoids discussions and dissappointments.

Hi,

I’d like to suggest adding an optional “Show GPS accuracy” item to the “Additional information displayed” settings, available in both Navigation and Follow modes.

To be clear, this would display the device-reported GPS accuracy for the current location fix (for example, estimated horizontal accuracy in meters) as an optional on-screen data item. This would be display-only and would not change routing or guidance behaviour.

Kurviger already allows users to toggle items such as speed, altitude, time, and battery status, which works very well. Adding GPS accuracy as another optional data point would be useful in real-world riding scenarios, especially in areas with trees, tunnels, or variable signal.

Being able to see GPS accuracy helps riders understand when speed, position, or turn guidance may be less reliable. It is also helpful when using Kurviger in continuous recording mode, as it adds confidence in the quality of recorded track data when reviewing or sharing rides.

For display, this could be shown as a small numeric value (e.g. ± meters), similar in size and placement to the existing speed or altitude indicators. As with other items, keeping this optional would avoid UI clutter.

In Follow mode in particular, there appears to be more available screen space, so there may also be an opportunity to present the information panel slightly larger for improved readability while riding.

This feels like a natural fit alongside the current navigation information options.

Cheers,
Leo

We do show users an info, if the GPS reception is bad. Typically it won’t trigger in the forest, only if the GPS reception is really bad, which probably covers most use cases. I will move your request to an existing request that is related.

Thanks for the clarification.

I understand there’s already a warning for very poor GPS reception. My suggestion was more about optionally displaying the reported accuracy value (e.g. ± meters) continuously, even when reception is still good.

Thanks for linking it to the related request.
