Navigation First Impressions and Problem

If you are not a fan of reading too much, you can have a look at some tutorials on Kurviger YouTube channel:

Maybe opening a separate thread where people can chime.in with useful advices on how to get the most from Kurviger without having internet (at all).

As you do not have the access to recalculating the route and cloud storage, some obvious things would be:

  1. have your routes saved locally as GPX or .kurviger file
  2. prepare alternative routes and save them locally as well
  3. download all offline maps that you may need
  4. load all routes/variants of interest as overlays with different colours
  5. disable route recalculation

I guess ppl with more experience with riding offline could chime in with additional advice.

For me there would be still a big annoyance of not being able to save the track locally and I hope a solution will be found soon for that.

I practically don’t work with intermediate goals at all, but only with shaping points to avoid exactly what happens to you. Intermediate goals are really only very important points for me. You can easily change your intermediate goals into shaping points without much effort. Click on the three points in the planning and select the function “Convert all intermediate goals into shaping points”.

If you still want to have a point as an intermediate destination, click on the intermediate destination in the planning, then the intermediate destination opens and click on the intermediate destination there and the color of the circle changes from black to blue.

P.S. You can also use Kurviger Offline with restrictions.

They can be skipped in the ...-Menu, “Skip to WP”. You can skip as many as you like in one go. This is a manual interaction though. As others have pointed out, Shaping Points are the way to go here

Ah yes ok, yeah, so we need to double check that the notification is not covering the ...-Menu .

Thank you, I will check that out.

I have some homework now, thanks to everyone for the input.
