I have been using the new Beta for a few days after moving away from Calimoto and the main suggestion I have is to change the colour of information on the screen like Next turn, Speed, etc.
Right now it is dark-ish text/signs on bright background, which is far less visible in bright conditions (like sun) than bright text/signs on dark/black background. Calimoto uses the latter scheme and it is very legible no matter the light conditions.

Ou alors c’est dans les réglages Android mais là non plus j’ai pas trouvé !
Actuellement, cela n’est pas encore réglable.

Same request here. Just did a 5 day trip with the new app, legibility under bright sunlight is mediocre. Previous app was better in this respect.
@boldtrn it’s been a year and still no dark mode (as far as I can see). Can you please update us?
Lack of dark-mode is not only an inconvenience, but also increases risk of accident because when screen is not legible, you try to read it with more attention, and pay less attention to the road. As I mentioned, Calimoto does this particular thing really well - defaults to dark mode which is very legible in sunlight.
Currently, we only have a dark mode at night. This will become configurable in the future. I am not sure this will increase readability of the display, I personally think light mode is better readable, but I guess personal preferences are different for everyone.
There has been discussions about other things like high contrast mode or something like that and we might add stuff like this in the future, but really, no promises here

Have you tried riding with Calimoto in the daylight? It defaults to “dark mode” (not sure if it even has “light mode”) and I find it much more legible. I suggest you have a try.
As I know, calimoto use white arrows on black background. And yes this is much much better in sunlight.
