I tried the trial version on my Samsung S10 Android. I noticed that the app’s usability in offline mode is very limited. I previously downloaded the maps via Wi-Fi. If you end a tour, the app freezes, and you can’t continue. If you want to recalculate the tour because you want to avoid a closed road or something similar, it doesn’t work. If you enable the internet, everything works again, but that’s not the point. Closing the app with the button or the back button doesn’t work; the app stays open. I’m missing a screen lock for rides in the rain. Unfortunately, the app’s functionality in high mountains or countries without internet isn’t guaranteed. It would be great if this bug could be fixed, or am I wrong?
Hello and welcome to the forum,
If you have downloaded the map offline, as you have done, that’s fine.
You can then load the routes you want to ride if you know that you don’t have an internet connection and these will then be in the route history, as they are saved locally in the device.
You can then start and ride these routes even without the Internet.
Recalculation is not possible. Currently, you have to follow a detour on site or drive on sight and then return to the route at some point and the navigation continues.
A display lock has often been requested.
The Kurviger team is looking into these requests, such as offline recalculation and display lock, and will take them into account in future updates.
