Hello everyone. I use Kurviger extensively for Classicpassion.ch. We organize classic car tours. We also recommend the app to our >250 members. However, we are extremely disappointed with the display of road closures right now, and I am currently losing confidence in the solution. As an organizer, road closures are suddenly appearing for tours planned months in advance. I can no longer plan new tours, for example, around Mont Blanc (Cormet de Rosselend, and instead, completely wrong alternatives are shown that are impassable). I need a very quick solution, otherwise we’re gone. Sorry.
You can simply turn off the avoidance of current road closures — then everything is just like before. Whether that makes sense is something you’d have to decide for yourself.
If there are new road closures that didn’t exist months ago, then it certainly makes sense to display and check them, right? Otherwise, you end up standing right in front of the closure wondering “Why didn’t Kurviger warn me about this?”
Perhaps you could split up the tour sections that are giving you trouble so the experts can take a closer look at the situation.
The info from TomTom was wrong; I drove over it twice in the last 3 weeks, and it was always open even though a closure was displayed.
I recommend not automatically avoiding current closures, and verifying closures like this—which would only lead to a massive detour—by checking the internet first.
