Problems and Questions about Volume Control and Audio Output Channel
I use:
Kurviger 3.5.9 with Tourer+ subscription
Samsung Galaxy A52s smartphone with Android 14
Android Auto Carpuride 702
Sena Headset 50R
The headset was and is paired with the smartphone.
The Android Auto Carpuride W702 is set to IPlay/Auto, so that audio data doesn’t run through AA but is transmitted directly from the smartphone to the headset.
Now I also had the situation where:
- I couldn’t hear navigation announcements from Kurviger.
- Music played at normal volume (Smartphone → Sena)
- Calls could be made at normal volume (Smartphone ↔ Sena)
- Intercom conversations with fellow riders could be conducted at normal volume. (Sena ↔ Sena)
Solution: Ask the all-knowing forum. Created waypoint with long name. OK
Now comes the learning phase:
During Kurviger navigation announcements, using +/- volume on the headset doesn’t make the announcement louder, as the headset volume is already at 100%.
During Kurviger navigation announcements, using +/- volume on the smartphone makes the announcement louder and then it’s easy to understand.
Problem:
I have to set the volume to 100%. This makes the navigation announcements clearly audible in the helmet.
BUT:
The music/Spotify is then way too loud.
→ meaning I can currently either navigate with voice announcements OR listen to music.
I set the audio output channel to Calls.
I would have expected that this would allow different volume levels for music/Spotify and Kurviger navigation announcements (calls).
Goal / Expectations:
- Announcements from ongoing navigation are always understandable (Even during simultaneous Sena-Sena intercom or phone calls)
- Music plays more quietly in the background
What I’ve already tried without success:
- Audio output channel set to Media/Music
- TTS Samsung
- TTS Google
- Navigation with Google Maps (here the announcements were easy to understand despite quiet music)
Questions:
Are my expectations/demands on the system too high?
Are there already people successfully using this configuration?
Can someone explain the relationship between audio output channel and volume control? (I couldn’t notice any difference. What would be the intended behavior here?)
What else could I try?

Das Headset war und ist mit dem Smartphone gekoppelt.
Das Android Auto Carpuride W702 ist auf IPlay/Auto eingestellt, so dass die Audiodaten nicht über AA laufen, sondern direkt vom Smartphone an das Headset übertragen werden.
Jetzt hatte ich ebenfalls die Situation, dass
- ich keine Navigationsansagen vom Kurviger hören konnte.
- Musik in normaler Lautstärke gespielt wurde (Smartphone → Sena)
- Anrufe in normaler Lautstärke geführt werden konnten (Smartphone ↔ Sena)
- Interkom Unterhaltungen mit Mitfahrern in normaler Lautstärke geführt werden konnten. (Sena ↔ Sena)
Lösung: Frage das allwissende Forum. Wegpunkt mit langem Namen gemacht. OK
Jetzt kommt die Lernphase:
Während der Kurviger Navi Ansage über +/- Lautstärke am Headset wird die Ansage nicht lauter, da die Headset Lautstärke bereits bei 100% ist.
Während der Kurviger Navi Ansage über +/- Lautstärke am Smartphone wird die Ansage lauter, und ist dann auch gut zu verstehen.
Problem:
Ich muss die Lautstärke auf 100% stellen. Damit sind die Navigationsansagen im Helm gut zu verstehen.
ABER:
Die Musik / Spotify ist damit viel viel zu laut.
→ d.h. ich kann aktuell entweder mit Sprachansagen Navigieren ODER Musik hören.
Ich habe den Audioausgangskanal auf Anrufe gestellt.
Ich hätte erwartet, dass so eine unterschiedliche Lautstärke für Musik / Spotify und Kurviger Navigationsansagen (Anrufe) eingestellt werden können.
Ziel / Erwartungen:
- Ansagen von der laufenden Navigation sind immer verständlich (Auch bei gleichzeitigem Interkom Sena-Sena oder Telefonanruf)
- Musik wird etwas leiser Hintergrund gespielt
Was ich auch schon ohne Erfolg probiert habe:
- Audioausgangskanal auf Medien / Musik
- TTS Samsung
- TTS Google
- Navigation mit Google Maps (hier waren die Ansagen trotz leiser Musik gut zu verstehen)
Fragen:
Hab ich zu hohe Erwartungen / Ansprüche an das System?
Gibt es bereits Leute die diese Konfiguration erfolgreich nutzen?
Kann mir jemand den Zusammenhang zwischen Audioausgangskanal und Lautstärkeregelung erklären? (Ich konnte keinen Unterschied feststellen. Wie wäre hier das Soll Verhalten?)
Was könnte ich sonst noch probieren?
