Route from Doetinchem to Onda Spain not working

Kurviger cannot create a route from Doetinchem to Onda, Spain. The settings are configured for the fastest route and only unpaved roads are enabled.

What is the problem?

The fact that you aren’t familiar with how Kurviger works yet..

VfL (Lamps to the left / V-Twin regards)

That is to say - you set curvature to “Fastest” and switched on all the avoidances to the maximum level and left only “unpaved roads” unchecked? That is giving the algorithm contradicting requirements and it is having hard time finding such a route between two distant places. Even if the places are not that far apart, you might end up with a very strangely looking route.

Kurviger is not optimized for creating off-road (unpaved) routes. I do not know the algorithm details, but my experience is - if the road is not explicitly allowed for motorized vehicles - kurviger will most likely not take it, not even if you place a shaping point on it.

If you want to ride off-road across the europe, following one of the TET tracks would be probably a better option.

Why don’t you just do what the error message recommends?
It works with “Lyon” as a layover:

. . .

No path found due to maximum nodes exceeded 11000000

Hi @Gerard_Sloetjes,

You’ve already been given a few good tips. In general, we recommend breaking up very long routes into shorter routes.
The route you want is generally possible, but if you set many restrictions the algorithm will have a very hard time calculating a route for you.
