Route Planning Question

Hi Guys,

I’m taking part in a hopefully fun scavenger hunt in 2026. One of my routes has some loops in it where I’m going to be using the same roads to a destination and then returning using the same roads before then venturing on to some other roads.

Anyway, I want to run the navigation simulator in Kirby (my pet name for Kurviger ) to see if those loops are going to pose a problem for Kirby.

The navigation simulator in Kirby starts out at the very beginning of the route, but these potential problems parts are like 70 miles into the route that I have created.

Is there a way to have the simulator skip forward to these parts or run faster??

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Du kannst ja einfach den Teil vor der Schleife löschen, sodass die Simulation schneller vor Ort ist.

Yes that’s one option but the simulator should run much faster than it does. It shouldn’t run at a snail’s pace.

The other problem is that when you pause the simulator and then want to continue, it wants to start from the very beginning rather than continuing from the place where you paused it.

What are you hoping to find/see while using the simulator? Even if you would be able to :fast_reverse_button::fast_forward_button::next_track_button:, simulating a while route is a very time consuming process.

I consider the simulater more of a development tool for reproducing app errors during navigation.

Checking the tour for odd turns can be done more efficiently in the planning mode.

I don’t expect any issues with these loops, Kurviger is build to handle these, if you are sure to place a Via Point (not Shaping Point) at the end of the loop. I would also recommend to disable the automatic recalculation.
