If I deviate from the route, the recalculation gives an error “no internet”, but there definitely is.The recalculate button is enabled in the app. If I click the button in the top left corner to recalculate manually, I get the same error message. Is this a bug in the app? I have checked all settings and they are all OK.
I also have all maps set to offline, so I don’t think that’s the problem either.
I Have also the latest app version and Android latest version
That should of course only happen if you actually have bad reception or no internet access. Kurviger needs an internet connection to recalculate your route. So my guess would be that maybe even though you had internet access at the time you had poor reception and therefore Kurviger wasn’t able to recalculate. If you’re riding somewhere where it happens often, you can turn automatic recalculation off directly in the navigation menü (top left corner).
with another app it does have internet at the same places, so this is strange? Why doesn’t the app calculate the route using the offline maps, or am I misunderstanding this? Surely that is the intention when there is no internet? The app follows the route nicely but doesn’t recalculate.
Because the router (piece of SW that calculates the route) is located on the server and not on the phone. The wish to provide offline recalculations has been expressed by manu users, so the developers are aware.
