Set dark mode on android and carpuride

Hello,
my phone is OnePlus with Android 15, my carplay is Carpuride W702, the version app Kurviger is 3.5.10
I would like to set both the app and navigation and maps to dark mode or night mode, but both the app and navigation are always in day mode or light mode, and I don’t have the settings in the app to be able to change…
My carpuride doesn’t have the option to set the brightness, the screen is too bright, it’s annoying, so I want to set the dark mode.

The app currently does not support manual day/night setting, but sunce there were multiple requests already, I hope the team wull consider it.

You can try setting “Night mode” in Android Auto settings (btw. for me the visibility in night mode during daylight is not so good, but give it a try):

Dear Carpuride Support,
I own a Carpuride W702B unit and I am experiencing an issue with Android
Auto: the day/night (dark mode) setting does not stay active after
reboot. I read that some firmware updates fix this problem.

Here are my current software versions:

  • SDK Version: 22.0.11.0.0.0.1.2
  • CUST Version: LT-N702-V1.13
  • MCU Version: LT-702S2-921-V1.05
  • BTTR Version: SO40-23.08.15-11

Could you please provide me with:

  1. The latest compatible firmware for W702B (not BS).
  2. The correct upgrade procedure (via TF/SD card or OTA, if supported).
  3. Confirmation whether this update improves Android Auto dark mode
    behavior.

I am writing to confirm that if you are using an Android phone-connected device, the automatic night mode feature cannot be used when using maps. Currently, only manual switching of night mode is supported each time the device is turned on.

Please know that our technical team is actively investigating a solution to this issue. As soon as the latest software update is released, we will notify you immediately.
Additionally, we will add a note about this limitation to the product details interface to prevent similar questions from other customers in the future.
