Skinny pedestrian overpass shows as tunnel with icon/warning

I noticed that kurviger is VERY sensitive with warning about tunnels, even marking small overpasses. Okay. But I think this one might overdo it, it’s a skinny overpass for pedestrians, at no point is the road “enclosed”:

Route with the object in the middle:

P.S.: I keep finding small routing issues/bugs, should I make one post for each or collect a few and make a bigger post?

Thanks for bringing this up, but if someone tagged the place in OSM as a tunnel by mistake, then it is not a problem within Kurviger app, right?

Well I felt like it very much isn’t a tunnel^^
I get why those get pointed out, especially to motorbike people (the focus of the app), but this felt…“oversensitive”. Same as marking a level crossing as a barrier.
I don’t know how one would “re-tag” it as not a tunnel

In this case easy:

  • check if the upper part is tagged as bridge
  • delete the tunnel tag of the street below.

OSM Wiki says clear:

it is preferred to either tag the lower way as tunnel or the upper way as a bridge, but not both.

So I have deleted the tunnel tag.

Don’t worry about not knowing things :slightly_smiling_face:, if you wish to contribute to OSM (Open Street Maps) directly, such small changes are the best way to start (I also started learning recently). If you are unsure what and how to change, just ask here or in OSM Forum - there are plenty of people willing to help. If the change still seems too complicated, someone may do it for you and you can learn from it. It is not that complicated as it may seem, but you need a bit of practice.

Kurviger takes about 2-3 days to synchronize with OSM Server, that is why the changes are not seen immediately.

I also removed “layer=-1”, then I could join 3 segments of the road to a single one.
