Track recording doesnt work

Issue

The track recording does not work at all.
No red line during riding, no offer to save it, no file in the clowd.

I tried standart and always (Standart / Immer)
what does work

In simulation mode all of the above works.

In some previous 2022 app version it was working, too, and other apps do record gps tracks.

I am a bit puzzled regarding your comment

and on the other hand the title you used. I assume the recording does not work with your setup, right? Does the navigation work properly? Have you granted the app all authorizations on your navigation mobile? This is a prerequisite, else it may cause a strange behaviour.

Hi Guenther,

I was trying to help with the debugging by providing the list what I already tried. I’m not familiar with markup and apparently misplaced the line breaks. I intended the bold lines to be the headlines for the lines below.

  1. track recording does not work.
    1a) no red line on the map
    1b) no offer to save it
    1c) no file saved in the clowd
    1d) I tried the two recording related settings (standard) and (immer)
  2. instead the following works, but doesn’t help me while riding. Might be usefull for debugging:
    2a) in simulated Navigation 1a-1c all works
    2b) my phones GPS and ability to record is there, because it works in one apps, including the old kurviger.
  3. Hardware and Software used:
    3a) Kurviger Version 3.5.6 - 4841 (German)
    3b) Tourer+ (trial)
    3c) Phone Samsung Galaxy S10e SM-G970F
    3d) Android 11

Could you try what happens if you switch the location provider (Google / Android) in the settings of the Kurviger app.

I already tried and nothing changed.

Have you tried to restart your phone? Is your date and time correct in your phone?

I just tried and it didn’t help. The time of the phone is taken from the network, I never had a issue with that.

But the navigation is working fine? Have you checked the location permissions that you gave to Kurviger, is this the precise location? (there are two variants for the location permission)

Navigation works, similarly ‘good’ as Google maps. The previous app was better. Not sure what you mean by two settings in android. The android settings menu sais kurviger has all the required permissions.

Yes, but for the location you can set it to precise or coarse.
