Hi, me and my wife use the App for navigation on the bike. On both phones the App closes after 20-30 minutes while navigating.
Very annoying, because you have to stop and open the app again to continue.
This happens on a Samsung Galaxy S22 and S24.
The App is open on the screen.
I have also tried the ‘Keep open’ function, but it still closes.
Battery is set to unlimited.
Android 14.
What can I do to prevent this from happening? Thanks.
You are not alone, my Samsung A55 similar behavior. Close after 90 minutes.
But ! I have also some more open Apps they close also during driving.

It seems this is a Samsung issue.
When you Google you find it’s like a webview issue.
I close all apps by force, and restart the phone before riding, this helps much for hours.
Does your phone overheat maybe? If so, maybe you could reduce the screen brightness a bit?

It should actually apply only to apps running in the background, but maybe it still helps.

Have you checked the latest recomendations of Don’t kill my App? This seems to be constantly changing for Samsung:
In case somebody will complain about my weird Motorola-phones (I think not at all), it seems there are much, much worse.

Big improvement on Samsung Mobile.
In Samsung App “Good Guardian” you can find “Memory Guardian”
Switch to “Quick switching mode”
That’s help to stay alive all background App.
Including “Kurviger” in foreground.
There was a webview update, but it did not fix the issue.

Guten Abend,
seit mehreren Jahren nutze ich die Kurviger-App. Doch seit einiger Zeit schließt sich die App automatisch, ich kann keinerlei Eingaben machen etc., geschweige denn Routen fahren.
Die App ist aktualisiert, Stand 03.04.2025.

Pixel 7 mit Android 15 und Kurviger-App
Das Problem scheint gelöst: App deinstalliert und erneut installiert. Offensichtlich ist die Update-Prozedur fehlerbehaftet/unvollständig.
Nun scheint alles zu funktionieren.
