This is the feedback thread for CarPlay BETA of the Kurviger iOS App update 3.5.8. We are looking forward to your feedback!

Please note, CarPlay is unfortunately not a screen mirror. This means that at least for now, we are not able to implement every feature that is available in the regular app in CarPlay.

CarPlay is considered a BETA. This means that some things are missing or don’t work as expected. In our experience CarPlay is already pretty stable. Please let us know if there are any issues.

If you would like to request a feature or report an issue, I would kindly ask you to create a separate thread for this as it can get a bit hard to follow the discussion in one huge thread. This thread is about discussing the features that we have implemented with this update :slight_smile:

Bitte beachte, dass CarPlay leider keine Bildschirmspiegelung ist. Das bedeutet, dass wir zumindest im Moment nicht jede Funktion, die in der regulären App verfügbar ist, in CarPlay implementieren können.

CarPlay gilt als BETA. Das bedeutet, dass einige Dinge fehlen oder nicht wie erwartet funktionieren. Nach unserer Erfahrung ist CarPlay bereits ziemlich stabil. Bitte lass uns wissen, wenn es irgendwelche Probleme gibt.

Wenn es um einen neuen Funktions-Wunsch oder einen allgemeinen Fehlerbericht geht würden wir euch bitten ein separates Thema im Forum zu öffnen, damit es in diesem Thema übersichtlich um die Änderungen dieser Version gehen kann, danke :slight_smile:

Yes, you can use the Kurviger iOS app with CarPlay and it does work :slight_smile:

Is there a manual of how it works? Can I select and start the track or route from CarPlay device or do I need to start on the phone?

You still need use the phone for most operations. Anyway I’m still using another one or two apps in paralell (TomTom Go, Mapy.com, Scenic), plus blitzer pro in background.

Planning needs to be done on the smartphone. The navigation part (guidance along the route) works completely on CarPlay.

Zuerst einmal möchte ich euch ein großes Lob für die Carplay-Funktion aussprechen! Sie kam genau zum richtigen Zeitpunkt und hat mich wirklich begeistert. Ich habe bisher zwei Testtouren gemacht und insgesamt funktioniert die App sehr stabil.
Allerdings habe ich auf beiden Fahrten ein wiederkehrendes Problem mit der Sprachansage in der Navigation festgestellt. Am Anfang der Tour kamen die Hinweise problemlos, doch nach einer Weile hörten sie plötzlich auf. Nach einem Neustart der App lief es dann wieder einwandfrei. Um sicherzustellen, dass das Problem nicht an der Verbindung zum Headset liegt, habe ich testweise Spotify-Musik abgespielt, und diese lief durchgehend ohne Unterbrechungen. Auch die Kommunikation via Mesh mit anderen lief ohne Probleme. Daher schließe ich das Headset oder die Audioausgabe vom Handy als Fehlerquelle momentan eher aus.
Ich werde das am Wochenende noch einmal testen, wollte euch aber schon mal darauf hinweisen und fragen, ob andere Nutzer eventuell ähnliche Probleme gemeldet haben?
