Find Thailand places

Hello I have the following problem I use curviger in Thailand I do this app but 90% of the places I want to start does not find the app. Can then search for Manuel and set them as a goal. Who has a tip how I can solve this, which card etc use in Thailand

Can you share a few examples?
The order in which you type the address can make a difference.

You may try the another of the two search providers.
After typing a few letters, scroll down to switch search provider.

Hello and welcome to the Forum.

Kurviger uses Open Street Map (OSM) for rout3 planning. There are two Afdress search üroviders that you can choose from. However, if the places you are looking for have noentry in OSM, none of the search providers would be able to find it.

Maybe you can post 5-10 examples of the places you cannot find and we could have a look if it is a problem with missing OSM data or there is an underlying problem in kurviger search functionality.

First of all, many warm thanks for your quick answers
for example:
Chonburi City Hall
Wat Khao Tabaek, ทางหลวงหมายเลข 331 Tambon Nong Kham, Si Racha District, Chon Buri 20110
Wat Luang Phi Sam
Creamii Cafe Beach Pattaya

These are all just examples found in Google Maps

If found this one for example, it has a slightly different name though:

That said, there are certainly options to improve our search :+1:

Or is it this one?
Chonburi City Hall
ศาลากลางจังหวัดชลบุรี https://kurviger.com?overlay=location&ovd=lat%3D13.362%26lng%3D100.983272

I can’t find it

ok i have to write in Thai is it right?

ok I tried copy from google maps the Thai name does also not work.
so i will diced find it manually

maybe a bit cumbersome, but if you search the place in Google, right-click, copy the coordinates and paste them in Kurviger? Just as a workaround option…

The place I have linked only has Thai name in OSM.

If it is the right place, I do not know - that is what Google Maps found under the “Chonburi City Hall”.

Open Route Service can find it using Thai text, but Graphhopper can not:

Anyway, not so optimal for search in Thailand.

…and this is an additional option, share the Google link to the “send to navigation” app and …

I tried it was my first thinking but there is a 50/50 chance

I can’t find the option on either my iPhone or my Apple. But I think the app is fantastic here in Thailand in the hinterland. I look for the places manually and set them as a destination. Unfortunately, searching doesn’t work, but you can help yourself. Thanks for your help and quick answers. Kind regards, Marcus

There seems to be a shortage of POI database points for Thailand area. Perhaps its a southeast asia issue. Google maps seems to have the most of course. Also searching for locations in english in Thailand seems pointless. The only way I find I can make maps is to find the location in google maps, and then copy and paste the lat long. But this makes finding and planning on the route difficult.

Seems other Thailand users have found the same. Probably a Asia problem. However I have to say after trying several competitors, some with more features but also more problems, Kurviger is very clean and easy to use. Pasting in the lat long from google maps works great. Unfortunately Plus code doesnt work. Would love to find some riders to ride with, I am here in Cha-Am but can travel to meetup.

Great, thank you very much. I’ve now tried it out with a few places and it works fantastically on my Macbook. Unfortunately it doesn’t work for me on the iOS app. At least I haven’t found how to copy it, but thanks again for the tip

I do most of my route planning on the web page. I assumed it would work in the app also. I have noticed a few issues with the IOS version. Another friend changed the language to english in the IOS phone app, but some of the buttons still show up in German.
